A Perfect Choice for the Aspiring Fitness ProfessionalIt is estimated that 75% or $1.5 trillion dollars of medical care is preventable and reversible without clinical intervention. This presents an unquestionable opportunity for today’s fitness professionals. Now, more than ever, we are in a position to offer “preventative” type services to an overwhelming majority of the population. Statistics indicate that 60-80% of Americans do not exercise regularly and only 10% are likely to begin an exercise program within the next year. Even more discouraging than this….out of the 20-30% that exercise, half of them will stop working out within 3-6 months. This evidence is alarming and clearly indicates that despite our nations multi-billion dollar health and fitness industry, we have failed to provide programs and educational services that provide incentive for American’s to begin exercising and furthermore, to stick to it. In light of these statistics, fitness has become a respected career choice and is increasingly recognized as a profession. Despite the economic downturn, the U.S. Department of Labor reports that the fitness industry is still growing and job opportunities are solid. Employment in the industry is expected to increase by 27% through 2016, a figure that’s greater than the average for all professions, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
Medical Professionals: Agents for ChangeISFTA is proud to be the ONLY fitness education company that holds national and state board approvals to provide continuing education for Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Licensed Massage Therapists and Chiropractors. We realize that medical professionals are truly agents for change. All of our continuing education courses are “fitness-based” and statistics show that this portal for health care delivery is becoming a reality. We offer first-rate, highly affordable CEU courses, taught by experts who have worked extensively in the preventive and rehabilitative health fields.
